Yes, when the dial was clear at night, the 60s, at least on MMs. I
remember well KJNP being common. Not not any longer. I heard it the
other night when I was getting a lot of Alaskans. But there is so much
QRM, even with better antennas.
We left Alaska in 1967. I think when we left there were 18 stations in
the state on MW. Ah, the good ol' days...
