John,
Just one last comment before we bore everybody to death and get a citation 
from the list police, but I agree completely. My Icom goes down to 50 Hz 
stock and I use an outboard filter to get below 10 Hz, which is what you 
need to dig out the beacons that are close together. Some also use the Time 
Wave units with good success. Others use software like Spectran to "see" the 
beacons, but that has never appealed to me.
