[IRCA] Heard lots of beeps on 837 last night

There was a beep every second for half a minute at the time I tuned in 0535, then a beep of maybe 1-2 seconds duration. Too hard to tell if there was music or talk with WCCO only about 30 miles away. Any ideas anyone? Trans Atlantic conditions weren't very good & getting late; on 1008 about 0520 Spanish by M & W (best  signal), it was still in 0530 with unreadable audio. Spain or Canary Islands? Eton E1 used with Quantum loop. 73, George S., MN
