Patrick..You may wish to do what I do for ground rods.
Go to Home Depot/Lowes/etc and buy 10 foot stock sections of 1 inch diameter
copper TUBING, and then cut them in half and you have two nice ground rods.
The greater surface area of tubing makes more gorund contact than solid and
here, from my tests is a definately better ground.
