Paul,

I don't have an Icom. However in my case, I record all of my DX to
Cassette as the patch cord from my R8 runs to a cassette deck. I then
can use the computer or my stand alone Lite On CD/DVD recorder to dub
what I want to CD, for reports, etc.
It works great.
I plan to dub all of my DX for the past 40 years over to CD in time.
