Dottie was a pioneer in radio. She was the first general manager of the
first "All-Girl Radio Station": WHER in Memphis.

After leaving WHER, she went to work for Holiday Inns, which was at that
time headquarted in Memphis (the founder of Holiday Inns, Kemper Wilson, had
been an investor in WHER, and WHER's original studios were in a Holiday
Inn). 

Dottie did an overnight syndicated radio program under the pseudonym of
"Dolly Holiday" that played easy listening music and promoted Holiday Inns.
Dolly was quite popular for that sort of a radio personality, and this album
was released as a reflection of that. 

Dolly's life and activities after she stopped doing the Holiday Inns program
is unknown. She is believed to be deceased.
