 One of the 2010;s croaked off for good this week past. Acquired ca. 1990. 
1995, freq keypad turns stink-o. Sony Service Miami pronounced it unrepairable. 

But dial worked as did U/LSB, SYNC, filter, & AM buttons.

So, tuned it to SSB freq and camped it on there until ca. 2003, when it 
started eating memory batts. Wired in separate 3V P/S. Did trick until this week's 
DOA.

So much for repair svc prophecies.
