I wonder, Patrick.   You were listening mostly over half an hour 
after I was, with your sunrise about 9 minutes later (was your 558 
logging really at 1352UT by the way? All the others were 40 to 60 
minutes earlier).  Probably I should have stayed up rather than gone 
back to bed, and snagged some DU's.  There was little evidence of DUs 
here before 1235 when I threw in the towel.

For me, the clincher was listening to the program (it was still weak 
and fady) up to 1230, and hearing the carrier go off, then come back 
stronger with definite Japanese talk.  Pretty strong indicator of HLAZ.

Bill Harm's suggestion of a bilingual program is an interesting one, 
and the other language could have been Korean, but they are listed in 
Mandarin Chinese at that time.  (Mind you, the FEBC website is a 
little confusing, and I believe their schedule changes according to 
whether daylight time is in effect in the target area).
