Peter Jernakoff writes: "Recordings #5 and #9 demonstrate that IBOC hiss
can be heard quite far even in the daytime. The latter recording was obtained
from a QTH (Wilmington, DE) located a little over 100 miles from the WOR
transmitter."
On KMKI-620's IBOC, driving northwest on U.S. 287, I hear the hiss on 610
and 620 well beyond Childress toward Amarillo. The ground conductivity maps show
this land at 30 on a scale of 0-30, so it's the highest ground conductivity in
America.
