Some daytime groundwave loggings from a few days in the Chicagoland area 
last week:

(MKB-IL-W) midday DX in Westmont, IL
(MKB-IL-C) midday DX from Grant Park on Chicago waterfront

Times: EDT/UTC-4 (local time was of course CDT/UTC-5)


550 KTRS MO St. Louis - 7/6 1202 - over WIND-560 slop with talk about 
internal shoplifting by store employees, announced phone numbers for calls 
"314-969-KTRS and 888-550-KTRS". (MKB-IL-W)

600 WMT IA Cedar Rapids - 7/6 1152 - steady groundwave with Selective 
Service PSA, slogan "news radio 600 WMT keeps you in touch with Cedar Rapids 
and eastern Iowa". (MKB-IL-W)

630 CFCO ON Chatham - 7/9 1205 - weak but readable groundwave with local 
weather "25 degrees at 630 CFCO" into local sports, including news about NHL 
trades (yes, only in Canada would you hear hockey talk in July!). (MKB-IL-C)

640 WMFN MI Zeeland - 7/6 1400 - in like ton of bricks with mix of oldies 
and adult standards, top of hour slogan and ID: "daytime, nighttime, smooth 
time, anytime, WMFN Zeeland-Grand Rapids". (MKB-IL-W)

810 WMJH MI Rockford - 7/9 1155 - over WAIT-820 slop with Spanish hot hits, 
slogan "La poderosa de Michigan, WMJH" (i.e. "doble-vay emmay hota 
ah-chay"). (MKB-IL-C)

940 WHIT MI South Haven - 7/9 1232 - over WNTD-950 slop with slogan "we're 
portable so take us wherever you go, Super Hits 103.7 WHIT" into Lido 
Shuffle by Boz Scaggs. (MKB-IL-C)


TIS/HAR

800 WTTJ283 IL Chicago - 7/9 1208 - just out of range of WBBM-780 IBOC crud 
with ID as "the city of Chicago Department of Aviation would like to welcome 
you to Midway International Airport.you are tuned to Midway Airport 
information radio WTTJ 283". (MKB-IL-C)

More than enough IBOC slop to go around: WSCR-670, WBBM-780, WGRB-1390, 
WRLL-1690, just to mention a few!
