Re: [IRCA] KPOJ 620 IBOC off

Dennis,

Yes, it was nice to hear KONA well today at S8/9, as the KPOJ IBOC noise
pretty much covers it. I think I will try a short BOG below the beverage
and see if I can phase the two, leaving a decent signal on 610. So far,
if I phase out the KPOJ noise on 610, I get mostly Medford. KONA is hard
to hear well. I can hear it in the hiss, but poorly. By a couple hours
before LSS, KONA goes up to S9+10 DB and overpowers the hiss. On 630,
phasing the IBOC noise leaves a mix of KCIS/KWRO. If I phase out either,
I get KWRO or KCIS, but with some IBOC hiss. But the lower frequency
seems to be always the most affected. The same is true with 1190, but
KLAY 1180, being Northeast, phasing KEX works out fairly well. Nothing
on 1200 in the NW as yet. It will be interesting when Vancouver BC gets
on.
I have no idea what KCIS would say. we aren't in their coverage area, so
I don't think much can be done. I contacted KLAY when KEX went IBOC, but
KEX is still IBOC. I really doubt anything much will be done. We will
have to wait this out until they find out the people will not buy the
radios.
