Chuck, dig out your copy of the NRSC-5 spec, which I'm sure you keep close 
at hand at all times. :-)  Turn to Section 5, wherein the Station 
Information Service (SIS) protocol is described.  This is the "RDS" for 
IBOC, and it applies to both the AM and FM systems, so it is indeed 
"official".
