[IRCA] Radio pirate article

There was an interesting story about radio pirates in the April 28 issue
of the San Antonio Business Journal. The title of the article, by W.
Scott Bailey, is "Radio pirates take aim at Clear Channel and others".
The story primarily concerns the 'Power 103.3 FM' pirate station
operating in the Quad Cities area. The author apparently interviewed the
operators of this station who are making no attempts to hide their
identity.

I have seen it reported elsewhere that this station was visited by the
FCC but was not shut down. Reportedly the operators cited an obscure law
that allows unlicensed emergency broadcast operations during times of
war and the FCC agents backed down to investigate further. Sounds like
urban legend material to me but who knows.

The Business Journal article also mentions that Clear Channel may be
attempting to capitalize on the popularity of pirate radio by presenting
one of its own legitimate stations as a pirate operation. The article
says that it is a talk-format AM station in the Akron Ohio area that
identifies itself as Radio Free Ohio. Anyone know what station this is?
