[IRCA] EAST COAST DX

I went back to Durham, NC last weekend for a college reunion (Duke)
and then went to Williamsburg, VA. Not a whole lot to report.

DURHAM NC
We stayed at the Millennium Hotel. The noise level was so high that
all I could get were the immediate locals. Outside using the loop,
and even driving around in the rental (a Chevvy), the signals simply
were not there.

WILLIAMSBURG VA
The TVs were a little grievous but even when they were off, the
overall noise level was up significantly from when we were there in
the 80s. Of note:

610 KNJR841 VA Hampton Roads. This identifies specifically as being
in Hampton Roads. The TIS log notes them in Newport News and Norfolk.
I did not discern any echo so they must move it around. In any case,
this is one of the strongest HARs I have ever heard. Listed as 40w
ERP. Very audible driving around. (PT-VA 4/24-28)

1510, presumably WPGR PA Monroeville (as per other reports). Even
with WLAC 4/24 around 2100 and in and out a various other times
during our stay (PT-VA 4/24-28)

1570 UNID. Music of the 60s including "I Only Have Eyes For You"
featuring a group with a falsetto voice lead. All the music seemed to
be of this era. Faded in and out but was never "up" when there was
talk. WANR Warren, OH and WQTW Latrobe, PA are listed with Oldies,
but who knows. (PT-VA 4/26 2205-2220)

In both Seattle on the way out and at Raleigh-Durham Airport on the
way home, security people pulled out the LW and MW Palomar loops
after viewing their scanned images. No questions, just careful scrutiny.
