He is active on HCDX which seems to make sense, as a lot
of his reporting is done for SW stations he hears. He recently
was posting lengthy reports in Spanish, and his ability to
write in Spanish seems quite good, considering he was just
a student of it, alongside English and French. Interesting that
his family recently spent a vacation in Cuba, an ordinary event
for many other nationalities, including Canadians, but an
(realistically) unattainable dream for US citizens.

When will a tourist there be able to gather some photos of
BC facilities there and share them? Anyone ever ask to tour
studio facilities? Or is the lure of 7 straight days in a cabana
at Varadero just too enticing?

Just got the MT issue, an interesting read on YV's by him.

I can't imagine what kind of circumstance today would
bring a young person into the radio hobby. Ham Radio
is having the same issues.
