I was fortunate to be introduced to Morris via S. Axelrod, also of Winnipeg, some years ago, and had the good fortune to meet him on a couple of occasions.  He was an avid and interesting DXer, and a true gentlemen.  (There can never be too many of these.)  
 
It was also interesting to speak to him about is outdoor pursuits.  I will miss him.

PS: someone (one of the DX-related sites?) had a photo of Morris in a canoe with a young man who called him Uncle Morris -- if anyone has a copy of this, I would enjoy receiving it
