Re: [IRCA] Valdosta

The Dosta Theatre had fallen on hard times by the time I was of an age to go
out in the world. However, they renovated it back in the 90's and it has
reopened. They put on plays there and I would imagine they might show a
movie or two. Sad to say, I have never been in there. Maybe one day on a
visit back home...

I don't know the name you mentioned. I'll see what I can find out.

Bert, ever see any plays at the Dosta Theater?

Bert,

One of my former shift supervisers [at VOA Greenville, NC) Grover Avera,
worked at WGOV for a while. Must have been back in the '60s or thereabouts.
Grover was always at loggerheads with me. Retired about 1990. Despite being
a kind of nemesis to me, he was a good guy and when he meandered in after
retirement to harass us I was always glad to see him.

Do you recognize the name?
