Station Loggings
730 WLIL TN Lenoir City 1/25 - 0128 EST -
Looking for WUMP, when a station faded up on
frequency with song, "Good Night Irene," and at
conclusion, a very nice ID by a man: "Clear
Channel AM, 7-30, WLIL." Fair level, and then back down into jumble. (MH - NC)
DX Test
730 WUMP AL Huntsville 1/25 - 0052 - 0108
EST and 0125 - 0135 EST --- NOT heard at this
time on scheduled DX Test. Noted were a Spanish
language station, French language station, and an
English language station (barely audible except
for occasional brief fade-up) dominating
frequency....with not a single ID noted among
them. Used ECSS for best reception of
code/sweeps, but nothing. However, not a loss as
WLIL in with solid ID at 0130 EST! (MH - NC)
UNIDENTIFIED
1750 UNID 1/25 - 0010 to 0019 EST off.
Possible follow-up to the station noted 1/20 -
0412 EST with mentions of various highways. This
time, noted with talk by a man, and occasional
instrumental music. This time, I checked for a //
on local stations (910, 1120 off, 1240, 1290, and
non-local WHKT-1650), but nothing. Continued poor
signal and definite fading. 1/25 - 1650 EST. A
carrier is there, but too weak to make out any
audio. Will keep checking. (MH-NC)
