Patrick,
On my Quantum phaser when the gain is turned fully counterclockwise, the
antenna is completely silenced. Anywhere up from there gives increasing
signal until max gain is reached.
Is there some reason you can't just turn the gain down?
I know I suggested setting the antenna with the lowest signal strength gain
control on max and then adjusting the other to achieve optimal null, but
the lowest gain antenna could be set somewhere less than max just as well.
Maybe I don't understand what it is your trying to do.
