Here near Chicago, I have enough gain, although I might like a bit more 
daytimes. In Wisconsin I could use some more daytimes, but not at night when 
I get huge signals from across Lake Michigan. An idea for you Pat is to 
restore the unit to normal and hook your Palstar preselector in line with 
it, doesn't that also amp ?
