I guess it's time that the other end of the continent was heard from. :-)

2005 was a good year for me, with a total of 95 new loggings (call changes
not counted).  Too much to itemize, but the breakdown by month is 
interesting:

Some highlights:

TA:
1575 R Farda UAE - I think I was one of the first to log this one (Feb 11)
1017 Turkey, 594 and 1035 Portugal
Various others, mostly Spain, UK, Germany, France

LA:
600 R Libertad Colombia
700 R Popular Venezuela
720 XEAVR Veracruz Mexico
840 R Excelsior da Bahia Brazil (catch of the year - first Brazilian!)
930 XEU Veracruz Mexico
1110 YVRX Venezuela
1640 R Juventus don Bosco, Dominican Republic
A fistful of Cubans: 530, 730, 740, 942, 950

Domestic:
Some much wanted close unheards, including 570 WMCA-NY, 600 WCHT-MI, 
980 WSUB-CT, 1110 WNAP-PA, 1250 WPEL-PA, 1320 WHHO-NY, 1380  WMYF-NH,
1510 WPGR-PA
Some good catches from the midwest: 690 KOAQ-NE, KCJB-910 ND, 1410 KGRN-IA
New ones from hard-to-hear AR and TX: 760 KMTL, 760 KTKR, 860 KONO
Finally, CBK made it through all the eastern stuff on 540
650 CBF3, a 40W repeater in rural Quebec
Deep south: 620 WDAE-FL, 770 WYHG-GA, 1000 WYBT-FL 1210 WSKR-LA, 
1500 WWFN-GA, 1580 WNTF-FL
New England area pirates on 1670 and 1710
DX tests: 1070 WAPI, 1700 KKLF
Best GY catches: 1490 KQDS-MN (787 miles), 1450 WKEI-IL (765 miles)

Best single day was Dec 5, with 5 newies, 3 of them in WV.

My goal for 2006: reach a total of 2000 MW stations logged (not counting 
call changes) before the IBOCalypse drowns the band in noise.  I'm sitting 
at 1956 right now, so it seems within reach.  I'd also love to log Oregon, 
the only state in the "lower 48" I'm missing.  And maybe complete another 
state or two... so far have heard 'em all in VT and RI, but am close in 
several others.
