[IRCA] TP 30 Nov Victoria version.

This morning was a bit of a "deer in the headlights" reminder of some of the recent October mornings, though ultimately, was rather frustrating, as there quite a number of carriers with "near imaginary" audio on them, and no way to bring them up further. And, probably still missed some gems.

As Bruce noted, HLAZ was quite strong well after 1700UT, but I had stopped recording then, so am relying on signal strength displays. 945, 972, 1143 and 1287 also looked like they may have delivered some audio in that time period.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK 1537UT

639 CNR1 //945 1528UT

747 JOIB 1533UT

774 JOUB 1534UT

828 JOBB 1526UT

972 HLSA 1544UT

1566 HLAZ 1537UT, woman in Chinese, followed by female ballad; still at pretty good strength with man in Russian 1644UT, and held on enough for a weak VoA ID at 1700UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):
1089 JOHB NHK mention by woman 1520UT

1287 JOHR man in Japanese 1550UT

1575 VoA ID by man, Yankee Doodle, 1600UT, quick fade down followed

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK //594 1537UT

621 Heilongjiang RGD, female ballad //900 1520UT

819 N. Korea, female operatic singing //2850 1548UT

873 JOGB //828 1531UT

918 woman in Chinese 1556UT, pop ballad

954 JOKR woman and man in Japanese 1550UT

1188 JOKP //594 1544UT

1503 JOUK //594 1549UT

1575 Iran buzzer 1528UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

585 woman and man talking Chinese intonation 1529UT, definitely not //594, and on north Flag

603 woman talking Chinese intonation 1524UT

 756 CNR1 //945 1542UT, also //6175 with some delay

855 woman talking Chinese intonation 1522UT

864 man talking, possibly Korean, and someone else also. 1532UT

900 Heilongjiang RGD ballad //621 1520UT. Never more than barely there among the domestics but enough for a parallel

1116 woman talking Chinese intonation 1522UT

1242 JOLF cuckoo pips after woman talking 1600UT

1323 woman in Russian? 1529UT

1332 pop music 1526UT

1593 CNR1 //756 1544UT; also heard 1603UT with ballad //6175....no news?

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 711 738  837 855 891  999 1008 1017 1098 1107  1143 179 1206  1215 1251 1269  1296 1305 1314 1359 1422   1458  1548 seemed to be Asian;
no one seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
