Re: [IRCA] Logging Methodology?

Thanks Nick!

I could modify one of my ham logging programs to do a lot of this including automating frequency, time/date info and such. But I'm lazy. I also use several receivers which adds complexity to automating some of this.

Seems like a spreadsheet will work out for me now, or might just use a notebook!

A late chiming in, Ken.

My own logsheets for the last number of years have been the submissions to this list and to IRCA's DX World Wide.ÂÂ Perhaps not the most organized system, hi, but I can generally find out fairly quickly if I've heard something before ... not that it usually matters.

Some years ago, I recall a program for controlling the Drake R8 which had a logging subsystem that seemed brilliant to me. A keystroke, I think, recorded the frequency and time, and you added your own details. It may have recorded other details also, but I'd have to dig it up. It saved lots of time when the DX was coming thick and fast, and it was fairly easy to transfer the results to a submission to a DX column.

best wishes,

Nick
