I used to have deer occasionally knock the
counterpoise ground on my K9AY off it's stakes before
I took it down. A small crow met it's unfortunate
demise after it ran into one of my EWEs. When I put up
a KAZ, I opted to elevate the horizontal section 6 ft.
off of the ground in the hopes of maximizing the
performance while allowing the deer the opportunity to
pass underneath. On a different note, wasn't Radio
Taino on 1180? That's where I recall logging them
years ago.
