[IRCA] TP 20 Aug Victoria version.

The Asians seem to be building in strength a bit, with a few DUs after 1300UT.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB English lessons 1206UT, and quite gigantic signal by 1208UT

828 JOBB briefly got to this level with English lessons 1211UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

the above passing through

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

612 4QR man and woman DU English 1315UT //702

702 2BL as above

747 JOIB English lessons poking through the splash 1205UT

972 HLCA man in Korean 1236UT

1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese 1242UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

576 woman talking DU English intonation 1315UT

594 man talking Japanese intonation 1202UT

693 JOAB English lessons snuck past 690 splatter, //774, 1220UT

873 JOGB man talking Japanese intonation; seemed parallel with 774 which was oddly weak just then, 1249UT

891 JOHK man talking, Japanese intonation, after pips at 1200UT; seemed // with weaker 594

1017 island vocals 1236UT, likely Tonga

1575 man and woman talking, SE Asian language?

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 729 738 855 864 1053 1098 1134 1242 1287 1323 1332  1422 seemed to be Asian;
 558 675 756 909 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
