Hi Craig,

Thanks for posting the extremely detailed report from your April visit to Kona, Hawaii. You have some outstanding catches in your list, which once again shows the potential for exceptional DXing fun at a forward Pacific island location! Thanks also for giving the 7.5" loopstick PL-380 and 5" Frequent Flyer FSL another excellent workout.
I'm currently in the process of persuading my wife to visit Princeville on Kauai island in November, after having been astonished at your amazing Asian TP-DXing results during your April 2017 trip. Pete Taylor has also cleaned up in Hawaii-based DXing during his last two trips, so the concept does seem to be catching on in a big way. See you next week at the Cliff!

This past April I spent 5 days at the Kona Isle condos on the Kona Coast of Hawaii. I selected this lodging option largely due to it having a nice picnic area with Trex-type picnic tables about 50 ft or so from the ocean. There was some QRM present from a nearby condo complex on the north side of my TP DXing set up. I used the SUPERB DeBock turbocharged Tecsun PL-380 augmented by a 5 inch "Frequent Flyer" FSL. That equipment made this TP DX possible.
