Re: [IRCA] Cuban MW stations

Willis:

When I say the Cubans use call letters on the small outlets, it's because I
heard it on dozens of Cubans that I have logged. Want some recordings?

Patrick and Chuck-
Fidel doesn't subscribe to any thing like call letters. This typical of
communist countries. What you see in the WRTH is useless information as for
as the call letters are concern. By 1960 all call letter use was gone. I was
lucky enough to get QSL's before ho took over.

In fact the info in the WRTH about radio networks is for the most part
useless. Just this last Friday night, I was monitoring 790 and in the course
of two hours I heard 3 different ID's from the same Cuban station. Cuba uses
what ever they want to call their 'networks' when ever they want to.
