[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 3-22

Asian conditions improved somewhat this morning, but after yesterday that isn't saying much. A greater collection of big gun TP's showed up, including some Japanese with S9 signals around 1350. A couple of second tier Korean stations and 738 even managed some brief audio, but they bailed immediately.

At my 1330 start time 594, 693, 972 and 1566 were all in with fair audio peaks, and 1593-CNR1 was at a poor level. Around 1345 the Japanese big guns got a potent daybreak boost, with 594-JOAK's news and 693- JOAB's Chinese lessons building up to S9 strength. Both of these were so strong around 1350 that even the hot-rodded Skywave Ultralight had them at S9 levels. About this time 603-HLSA's easy listening music and 657-Pyongyang's uneasy listening music broke audio, followed shortly by weak Chinese on 738 in and out of the KCBS splatter. 972-HLCA seemed to go in the opposite direction with the increasing daylight, as did 1566 and 1593 on the high band. Peak sunrise enhancement around 1355 also brought 747 and 828 up to weak audio, but they bailed quickly. Overall the session was a distinct improvement, but Asian propagation still needs to improve quite a bit to get back to the really interesting level.
