[IRCA] TP 3 Mar Victoria version

Quite a lot of signals this morning, mostly Asian with a smattering of Down Under. On a number of channels, there was just a mess of weak audio, mostly too weak to get much clue as to what was happening, so I just left those ones as carriers.

Compared with yesterday it was an excellent illustration of the adage "what a difference a day makes"

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK female ballad //567 1453UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese 1414UT
774 JOUB news in Portuguese by man 1446UT; very strong
828 JOBB man in Japanese //747 1414UT
972 HLCA man in Korean 1419UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

567 JOIK man in Japanese //594 1401UT
693 JOAB woman talking //774 1406UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

531 JOQG man in Japanese //594 1421UT
558 ballad //603 1425UT
603 HLSA woman in Korean, single pip 1400UT, then gentle music //558
612 4QR man DU English 1424UT
873 JOGB man in Japanese //828 1409UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1449UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
585 JOPG man talking //594 1407UT; heard again 1452UT
594 3WV light music //828 1414-5UT, underneath JOAK
666 JOBK man talking //891 1403UT
702 pop music 1409UT, not //612 or 747; NZ?
828 3GI soft music u/JOBB but //594 1415UT
855 4QB/4QO light music //594 (under JOAK) 1419UT
891 JOHK man talking //594 1451UT
909 soft music 1433UT; NZ?
945 CNR1 //1098 1444UT man in Chinese? Heard several other times at this level
954 man mumbling in 950 splash 1458UT, gone by hour
963 man talking Russian intonation 1434UT
1098 CNR1 man in Chinese //945 and slightly offset 1444UT
1278 man talking, sounded like DU English, not expected at all.
1287 man talking Japanese intonation 1448UT
1503 man talking 1423UT, sounded like DU English; NZ?

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
  639 837 864 936 981 1089 1134 1143 1179  1206   1242 1269  1314 1323 1386 1422 1458  1575  1593seemed to be Asian;
585 603 621 846 891 918 1017 1035 1098 1368 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
