[IRCA] TP 1 Mar Victoria version

Not too much was strong today, even the Japanese big guns except for an early and brief appearance by JOUB. The DUs were doing OK at least in the low band, yet hints of Taiwan and China also.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not today

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

612 4QR man in DU English 1441UT
774 JOUB English lessons 1418UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK woman in Japanese 1420UT, //594 although at this time, JOAK was underneath 3WV
594 JOAK man in Japanese o/3WV 1422UT
828 JOBB lessons //774 1418UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1438UT
1575 VoA likely sounded like a SE Asian language by man 1440UT, better on north Flag

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

594 3WV man talking //612 1449UT
603 woman and man talking, but sounded more islandish than Korean; NZ?
693 JOAB woman and man //774 1418UT
702 2BL man talking //612 1422UT
738 woman talking, Chinese intonation 1422UT; had expected Australia with conditions just then, but definitely not //612, so listened more carefully
747 JOIB man talking //774 1426UT
756 man talking, DU English intonation 1431UT
891 JOHK music //594 1446-7UT
945 CNR1 perhaps; pretty mangled but sounded //6125, 1444UT; better on north Flag
972 woman talking, maybe Korean? 1419UT
1593 CNR1 man talking //6125 1441UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
 558 819 936 954 1098 1134 1242 1287 1503   seemed to be Asian;
 621 675 846 909 1008 1017 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
