[IRCA] TP 2 Feb Victoria version

A tick upwards again today. As yesterday, NHK2 signed off at 1500UT, and their remaining carriers peaked well after that time. Lots of carriers, but like the audio, peaks were usually brief.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK brief peak with man and woman in Japanese, she on phone, 1519UT
972 HLCA female ballad, 1536UT; at other times, weaker, but recognizable Korean talk 1566 HLAZ female vocal 1533UT; at other times, weaker, but recognizable Chinese talk

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

828 JOBB woman in Japanese 1439UT
1503 JOUK man in Japanese 1546-8UT, earlier had been weaker but //594 which was gone by now

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

774 JOUB s/off music box 1503UT
1422 JORF man and woman in Japanese into commercial with Japanese vocals 1532UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

567 JOIK jazz //594 1524UT
603 soft music 1525UT
639 CNR1 man talking //6125 1528UT
612 man talking, sounded like DU English 1528UT
693 JOAB woman singing //828 1445UT
873 JOGB woman talking //828 1452UT
1242 woman talking, possible Japanese 1530UT
1593 CNR1 man and woman //6125 1537UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) 558 738 891 1134 1188 1251 1278 1287 1314 1323 1386 1458 1494 1512 1539 1557 1575 1584 seemed to be Asian;
 612 621 738 846 1017 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
