The geomagnetic burp did its work, and only a few of the big guns 
staggered through.   Interestingly, 1566 and to a lesser degree, 972 
were showing carriers well after 1700UT this morning.


pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, 
at least briefly):

not today



Reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it 
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB music box sign off 1524UT
774 JOBB music box 1522UT; carrier stayed on until after 1600UT though



not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or 
noise could be understood by a native speaker:


594 JOAK man in Japanese 1523UT; //1503 later
828 JOBB man in Japanese 1459UT //774




Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be 
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in 
talk or music)

873 JOGB man talking //747 1514UT
1503 JOUK traces of slow vocal music //594 1543UT



Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or 
ravaged by splatter)

972 1323 1593   seemed to be Asian;
612 1017 1098 seemed to be DU
