I don't know yet about earlier conditions in Victoria, but this
morning showed the first example that I've seen of the "winter high
band sunrise enhancement" (if that is enough qualifiers for
you...) Erratic fading of carriers above about 1300kHz, and not
much below, These can be strong enough at peaks to deliver audio,
but being erratic, hard to ID. A powerhouse like HLAZ can be fairly
readable under such conditions, and was heard until about 30 minutes
after local sunrise today.
