[IRCA] TP 12 Aug Victoria version
Lots of carriers, not so much audio, with more of a tilt towards DU
as 1300UT approached
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not today
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1566 HLAZ "nihongo hoso" 1230UT, pattern change boost; Chinese
signal heard earlier, but not quite at this level
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
531 slow bassy music 1244UT, couple of words by a man and into
another song; fairly steady until after 1300UT, but no IDs; PI?
612 4QR countryish vocals 1309UT, woman in DU English
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
567 pop vocal 1153UT, man talking DU English? 1203UT
774 sounded like a mix of possible Japanese and DU English?
891 woman talking, DU English inflection; man on phone. 1238UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
594 747 828 972 1242 1287 1323 seemed to be Asian;
558 576 594 603 738 756 792 1098 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
