[IRCA] TP 9 Jun Victoria version

Interesting mix of Asia and New Zealand this morning.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

no

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 JOUB man in Japanese 1057UT, and fairly consistent for the next 20 minutes or so, occasionally back at this level.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

1116 4BC assumed, man in rapid DU English, sporting event of some kind?

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 slow island vocals 1124UT, Waatea?
675 RNZ National woman talking 1205UT, DU English? definitely //837
747 JOIB woman talking rapidly //774, briefly through splash 1123UT
756 soft music, woman talking, DU English inflection 1115UT
837 RNZ National woman talking 1205UT, DU English? //675
891 man talking, DU English inflection 1150UT
1287 man talking rapidly, Japanese inflection 1120UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

594 828 1242 1566 seemed to be Asian;
702 909 1035 1098 1107 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
