Thanks Jim. Whatever does come out from that DXpedition will be of interest. Other than that we have 2016 DXpeditions in PEI and down-east Maine (Lubec) to work with for somewhat newer info and Allen's postings from Carbonear, NL for a current look.
Do let us know what you're hearing there in Orkney. Not too much darkness around there this time of year however.
The Newfie stations such as 590 and 930 should be making a showing and maybe a few out of Boston and NYC.
531 here is almost always Algeria (// even louder 549). Way ahead of whatever is second (which is usually Spain). It's been several years since Faroes has been heard.

All fairly common from Cappahayden, when Perseii are in use. We haven't been back there since 2015. I'm only on day three from that week of recordings. For now Allan will have to be the "canary in the coal mine", revealing what might be possible elsewhere.
Mark was after us to get out a quick report back in 2015. With 5 minute recordings at top and bottom of the hour from about 1700 until 1000z each day it seems to take forever. On the plus side careful scrutiny results in dozens of new ones. Maybe I'll end up learning Portuguese this way?

Currently in the Orkneys. Faroes 531 is a daytime regular here!
