Wow, Craig, you already had much better Asian results DXing one morning in Kauai than I had during my entire Kona trip! A solar disturbance hit right after we arrived in Hawaii on April 8th, but I was still able to track down some Asians on my first and last days. And of course I wasn't a "full-time DXer" like some lucky guys :-)
For the exotic South Pacific stations (on 540, 558, 621, 1017, 1098, 1440 and 1593) you should check anytime between 0800-1100 UTC (10 PM to 1 AM Hawaii time) for their sunset skip propagation into Kauai. Their signals during this period can really be awesome, if you catch them before their sign offs. In Kona my sunrise enhancement period was from 1530-1615 UTC (5:30 AM to 6:15 AM Hawaii time), during which the Asians and western Australia got their primary boost.
I'm very happy that the 5 inch "Frequent Flyer" FSL is giving you a thrilling DXpedition so far, and you seem to have completely mastered its operation for the best TP-DXing results! If you have recorded any mystery MP3's or have any TP programming questions please feel free to forward them here, or ask about them on this list. Happy hunting!
Gary DeBock (back in Puyallup, WA, but wishing I was in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii instead)
