    Australians ruled the roost again this morning.


774    3LO	Melbourne, AUSTRALIA	Bits of talk noted before the hour and 
ABC news fanfare at 1100.

792	4RN	Brisbane, AUSTRALIA	Just detectable with ABC news fanfare at 1200.

828	2GI	Sale, AUSTRALIA		Fair level with talk, time pips, and ABC news 
fanfare at 1200.  Wiped out mid-fanfare by KXNT IBOC, presumably when 
they switched to day pattern/power.

981	unID				Faint traces of talk by a woman just after 1200.  Coincided 
with a fadeout on 4BC so couldn't check //.

1116	4BC	Brisbane, AUSTRALIA	First observed at poor level with 
commercial at 1059.  Stronger at 1202 with woman presenting news.


Upper band not so good today, with no audio on 1548 and weaker carriers 
on the X-band. 1602 was an intriguing exception, as it had a strong 
carrier at times, which I usually only get when Asian conditions are good.
