[IRCA] TP 22 Mar Victoria version

A further decline in conditions, but considering the geomagnetic upset, it was actually pretty good, though heavily weighted towards Japan. As Gary noted, 1400UT pretty much defined the end of things.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1352UT
747 JOIB Chinese lessons 1344UT
774 JOUB English lessons 1402UT; holding a party to celebrate the opening of a new convenience store. A Japanese convenience store could indeed be a matter for celebration. At the very least, one could buy the bottles of sake for the cherry blossom viewing from yesterday's lessons.
828 JOBB Chinese lessons 1333UT
972 HLCA woman in Korean 1346UT, woman in Korean, musical interlude 1346UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

666 JOBK woman in Japanese //891 1330UT
837 JOQK woman in Japanese //594 1351UT
873 JOGB Chinese lessons 1333UT
891 JOHK woman in Japanese 1331UT //666
954 JOKR man in Japanese 1321UT
1566 HLAZ choral music 1355UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK woman in Japanese 1353UT
693 JOAB continuing to sneak past CBU, Chinese lessons 1335UT
846 NHK1 woman in Japanese //594, 1352UT
954 JOKR man in Japanese 1407UT
1143 Taiwan Fisheries, woman in Chinese 1357UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH quiet vocal music 1338UT; got 603 // a few minutes later
603 soft music //558 1352UT
612 man talking, sounded DU English 1326UT, only heard briefly; 4QR?
675 pop vocal music 1338UT, no idea
729 JOCK man talking //594 1323UT
909 JOCB interlude music //774 1329UT
918 woman talking, Chinese inflection 1327UT
1053 man talking, Japanese inflection 1328UT; I wonder where is the Korean jammer? They used to go off at 1400UT
1134 male talk, maybe Korean? 1358UT
1539 man talking, seemed possibly DU English 1354UT, but doesn't fit in with rest of opening here

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

621 639 702 936 864 918 1008 1107 1179 1242 1278 1287 1314 1323 1386 1413 1422 1503 1575 1593 seemed to be Asian; 1098 seemed DU

best wishes,

Nick
