[IRCA] TP 11 Feb Victoria version
Another morning that had more than initially met the ear. A big mix
of Australia and Asia, maybe a slight emphasis on the
former. Sunrise lift , weak though it was, favored Asia more.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
774 JOUB man in Japanese 1410UT
828 JOBB man in Japanese 1348UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
612 4QR pop music, woman in DU English //702 1425UT
1566 HLAZ man in Korean 1613-4UT. Some mornings, this waits until
well after sunrise to deliver its best signal
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
576 2RN man and woman DU English //846 1346UT and other times a little later
747 JOIB man and woman in Japanese 1514UT
702 2BL man in DU English 1402UT and several other times
738 woman in DU English 1410UT, not //612, 702, 774?? assumed 2NR, but...
846 2RN man and woman in DU English //576 and lagging it, 1346UT
972 HLCA woman in Korean 1435UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 JOAK man talking, //891 and quite weak 1401UT
774 3LO pop music, woman talking //702 1411UT, way under JOUB
792 man and woman talking DU English inflection 1423UT
828 3GI pop music //702 1510UT
873 JOGB man talking//774 1409UT
891 JOHK 3 and 1 pips 1400UT, talk //594 which was weaker
1152 NHK2 man talking //747 1509UT, battling with splash
1287 man and woman talking, Japanese inflection 1518UT, better on
north Flag; kept reappearing up to about 1555UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
1134 1188 1269 seemed to be Asian; 621 855 1098 1548 likely DU
best wishes,
Nick
