[IRCA] TP 2 Feb Victoria version

The signal strength monitor said there was some liveliness after 1100UT, but not much liveliness in this listener or his SDR at that time.

Things were more subdued this morning closer to sunrise, but a surprising number of Asians turned up just the same

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not today, though 612 was pushing it.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

612 4QR man in DU English, another man on phone 1336UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1455UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

567 JOIK man talking, very weak, but //594 1522UT
747 JOIB turned up a couple of times earlier, but weak music box at 1542UT clinched it
774 JOUB music box 1541UT
828 JOBB trumpet music, man and woman talking, seemed Japanese, 1525UT; ID'd with music box very weak 1541UT 1566 assumed HLAZ, didn't fade in until 1601UT, man talking after patch of instrumental music

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

972 1242 1422 seemed to be Asian; 531 576 1098 seemed DU

best wishes,

Nick
