All water path from Rose Spit to Australia? Hardly! The path is 243 degrees and therefore goes WSW across about 69 km of land from near Masset to the west coast of the island. Rose Spit does have a water path from Rose Spit to Masset of approximately 35 km.

Thanks for that, Chuck. Yes, in Masset itself, Australia and NZ are not
all that common. I do remember armchair copy out at Rose Spit, though (all
water path) a few years ago in August/or early Sept. I'll report more as I
go through the files...73, Walt
