[IRCA] TP 25 Jan Victoria version
Not a great morning, though did get some brief
good audio on a couple of channels. Pretty much
all Asia, and a small sunrise enhancement. Most
of the signals were noted 1300-1400UT
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable
by a native speaker, at least briefly):
774 JOUB man in Japanese, woman in Chinese, 1359UT, pips on hour
1575 VoA woman in SE Asian language 1540UT, VoA jingle 1542UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period
(much of it understandable by a native speaker,
though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or
phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK woman and man in Japanese 1332UT
828 JOBB man in Japanese éé747 1317UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky,
language might be guessed at by cadence of talk,
or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
747 JOIB man talking //774 1329UT, then flute music
954 man talking, Japanese inflection 1341UT
972 HLCA likely; instrumental music, pips on hour 1359UT
1242 woman talking Japanese inflection 1333UT
1566 HLAZ likely; woman talking, Chinese
inflection 1538UT, made several reappearances
before fading for good, about an hour after this.
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio
(either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
657 891 seemed to be Asian; 1098 seemed DU during the time I listened
best wishes,
Nick
