[IRCA] HLAZ 15 Dec Victoria version

Again, another morning of half-hearted appearances of the big guns 
before about 1300UT then feathering off to nothing but weak carriers 
by 1400UT.... HLAZ came up a bit around 1540UT, and what opening 
there was (there were also a couple of other audios today), seemed to 
be between 1600 and 1630UT.


pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, 
at least briefly):


HLAZ came close.



Reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it 
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):


1566 HLAZ  O Holy Night carol 1611UT , then man in Korean, generally 
a pretty fair strength for the next half hour, but got faint and 
ragged about 1640UT, and was pretty much gone by 1700UT today




not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or 
noise could be understood by a native speaker:

the above passing through


Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be 
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in 
talk or music)

1422 woman talking 1610UT, then fading back up around 1617UT, sounded 
more Chinese than Japanese, and pretty relaxed.
1593  man mumbling 1629UT, didn't have the usual CNR1 insistence to 
his speech, then laid back vocal music across 1630UT, no pips, no 
Beijing time check .... so not CNR1?  But what could it be?   Taiwan 
Fisheries has been heard on 1593 at Grayland, but their website is 
down along with its fine archive.  Really, at 1kw, it seems an 
awfully long shot anyway.



Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or 
ravaged by splatter)
