[IRCA] TP 9 Dec Victoria version

A 10 minute opening, primarily from Japan, from about 1530-1540UT, made this an interesting morning indeed

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK man and woman in Japanese 1534UT
1566 HLAZ Gloria in Excelsis carol 1538UT. There was a very late reprise for this station with woman and man, seemingly in Korean at 1735UT, but quite weak

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 JOUB English lessons 1434UT
1314 JOUF two men in Japanese, much hilarity 1533-4UT. First noted with audio around 1512UT, but this was its peak

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

747 JOIB English lessons 1434UT
1179 JOOR woman and man in Japanese 1535UT
1242 JOLF woman in Japanese 1533UT
1386 NHK2 woman talking //1593 at 1538UT
1422 JORF man and woman in Japanese 1536UT
1494 unID woman in Japanese then into rock music, 1529UT, better on north Flag. 1287 not heard today, strangely, and 1269, which was heard, was not in parallel with 1494 so JOYR??
1593 CNR1 man in Chinese, dominating channel 1534UT,but NHK2 was there also

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH soft vocal music //603, but also mixing with a man talking, assumed JOCR
603 HLSA soft vocal music 1517UT, ID'd with //558 at 1532UT
612 JOLK woman in Japanese //594 1529-31UT
1143 man and woman mumbling 1526-33UT, maybe Japanese inflection? Someone else there also
1332 pop music , erratic fades, 1528UT, man talking, Japanese inflection 1532UT
1431 pop music 1537UT
1557 woman talking Chinese inflection 1532UT
1593 NHK2 music box s/off 1542UT //1386, mixing with presumed CNR1

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

1116 1323 1359 1458 1503 1539 1575

best wishes,

Nick
