[IRCA] TP 30 Nov Victoria version

An odd morning, Asiatic until around 1400UT, though 774 was still poking through after 1500UT, but after 1400UT, it was mostly DU, including possible Fiji on 558 and a mystery on 531. Erratic fades, particularly of the Asians.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

828 JOBB woman in Japanese and Chinese 1331UT //774

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK man in Japanese 1326UT
612 4QR peaking 1512UT "good morning Trevor" (call in show); somewhat weaker on hour when fanfare heard and news
774 JOUB Chinese lessons, 1335UT
1053 Korean jammer 1324UT
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1322UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

747 JOIB Chinese lessons //774 1347UT
891 5AN mention of ABC news by man after fanfare 1430UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

531 men talking 1510-12UT, interview? DU English inflection
558 island music and woman talking 1433UT, in for about 10 minutes; Fiji?
738 rhythmic pop music 1349UT
945 man and woman mumbling, Chinese inflection 1336UT
972 man talking, Korean maybe? 1321UT
1044 man and woman mumbling, possibly Japanese??? 1337UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

567 702 837 873 1098 1116 1206 1278 1287 1323 1593

best wishes,

Nick
