[IRCA] TP 20 Nov Victoria version
This morning, there didn't seem to be a very pronounced Asiatic
opening early on (1100-1400UT), so those have been ignored for today.
There was a lift after 1500UT, but rather than fading as it did
yesterday, it just hung in there until 1530UT, and not as interesting
as yesterday. Mind you, HLAZ did do a reprise at 1710-11UT, with
a woman in Chinese, fair to good strength, a couple of hours after
local sunrise, so, some interest there....some evidence on 1287 at
the same time, but never quite made it to audio.
..
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ "What a friend I have in Jesus" on alto sxophoe
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1509UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
774 JOUB English lessons 1525UT
1386 NHK2 man mumbling //774 1529UT; signal improved for s/off anthem
at 1535UT, followed by music box; considerably better than 774 by now
1503 JOUK man talking 1519UT //594
1593 CNR1 woman in Chinese //6125 1518UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
558 light music 1520-21UT
747 sounded like English lessons, 1508-10, splatter limited readability
846 woman talking could have been DU English 1511UT, not //594 and
better on west Flag
972 woman talking, possibly Korean 1511UT
1116 man mumbling in a down under sort of way 1505UT
1593 NHK2 music box popped up 1538UT, trading places with CNR1
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here
576 603 828 1098 1242 1323 1377 1422 1539 1557 1575
best wishes,
Nick
