[IRCA] TP 3 Oct Victoria version
I wonder what caused that propagation collapse? Essentially, things
became "normal"....JOUB and HLAZ at good strength on and off from
about 1230UT onwards, several other regulars at poorer strength (all
Asian), then by around 1400UT, 4QR romped around for a few minutes,
and that was it.
Well, possibly I needed to catch up on my sleep...
best wishes,
Nick
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
4QR, JOIB JOUB, JOBB all got here at various times, though not
consistent by any means; sometimes 3LO would climb on top of JOUB,
other times the reverse.
576 2RN jazz, then man talking //1512 at 1253UT
702 2BL man in DU English 1321UT, // 774, 612
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK various times, still there at 1416 with Japanese talk
756 RNZ National jazzy vocal 1156UT, also heard well at 1254 and 1351UT
891 5AN? man in DU English over JOHK 1245UT; assumed this, as had
heard ABC fanfare at 1230UT
1116 4BC 1322UT, man in DU English, eventually, 4BC ID
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
549 2CR light music //702 and 774 1252UT, other times also.
585 7RN jazz //576 1254UT
603 R. Waatea ? island vocals 1318UT, but no sign of 765
675 RNZ National man talking //567 1334UT
693 JOAB two men //828 1336UT
738 2NR man talking //702 1251, 1357UT
837 RNZ National man talking //675 1409T
846 2RN jazz //576 1249UT
855 part mystery, part ABC. countryish music 1330UT, not //702 or
612, though there were also men talking that seemed //702 at times,
plus fanfare at 1400UT.
873 JOGB //774 1407UT, Japanese talk
1287 pop music 1410UT, assumed JOHR
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
531 man mumbling for quite some time DU English inflection, then
into rhythmic music, maybe an island flavor? 1315-18UT
603 2RN jazz //576 1320UT, so Waatea? didn't last long here
621 3RN jazz //576 1252 and 1351UT
639 RNZ National. man talking, DU English inflection 1337UT, //675,
thought there was an offset making it confusing, then into rhythmic
music, of which there were traces on 675 and 756. New here
657 light music not //612 1353UT; Star? Needed to null 669 splash to
dig this out
837 RNZ National man talking //675
882 traces of soft music 1310UT, Star?
936 man talking DU English inflection 1303UT; noted again 1359UT, but
faded by the hour
954 man talking, maybe Japanese 1411UT
1233 2NC man talking //612, briefly in 1230 splat at 1411UT
1242 man talking, Japanese inflection 1410UT, bit of a Japanese
resurgence after 1400UT
1512 2RN, jazz and man talking //576 1254UT, nice surprise in splash
1548 4QD man talking, woman on phone, creeping through 1550 splash
and //702 1320UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here
558 864 909 1098 1107 1143 1386 1503 1566
best wishes,
Nick
