[IRCA] October 2, 2016 West Coast DU Times - Victoria B.C. Canada

Listened from 1315 through 1410 UTC

Definitely favouring the DU zone today with somewhat repressed signals from
Japan and the Korean peninsula --

*576 KHZ* Australia 2RN - 1323 Jazz track program with actual audible
station ID "2RN Radio..." at 1349 also // to the Tune-In Webstream

*603 KHZ* Unknown 1315 UTC - bouncy Island folk and country-western music -
unlike anything "Korean" I have ever heard here. Fr. Gd. at times.
Sounds oddly "Native Island" to be - music is quite clear - opinions
appreciated. https://youtu.be/2iwH0IGsf_M

*594 KHZ* Australia 1400 UTC 3WV Horsham signature fanfare // with 612
Brisbane - fair to good levels beating out NHK for the channel.

*612 KHZ* Australia 4QR Brisbane - easily one of he clearest and cleanest
signals of the morning - with signature fanfare over the hour // 3WV on 594
 You tube video - https://youtu.be/OigKl7GEaas

*702 KHZ* Australia 2BL Sydney (T) assuming the English interview // 774
(under NHK at the time) - good levels in CBC splash - 1320 and various times

*774 KHZ* Japan / Australia taking turns ruling the channel or sharing
equally - with NHK language lessons and ABC news commentary - 1335 -> 1400

*855 KHZ* Unknown DU - mix of bouncy folk and country music in/out during
various passes - with an "English" sounding commentary

*1116 Khz* Australia - Brisbane - 4BC Talk-radio with, you guessed it, talk
at really, really good levels at times. - https://youtu.be/X88728cFHnQ

All in all -- about equal to yesterday -- maybe with Japan and Korea
somewhat diminished.

RECEIVER - Drake R8 // W/NW FLAG // VACTROL Termination controller.
