[IRCA] TP 25 Sep Victoria version

With K's of 4 and 5 in the history, practically exclusively Asian this morning, though a little less intense than we've been used to.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

567 JOIK hilarity in the studio, Japanese style 1348UT
594 JOAK men and women, much hilarity in Japanese 1345UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese overpowering the splatter 1325UT
774 JOUB (and HLAZ 1566) probably there somewhere, but didn't actually note it
828 JOBB discussion of Berlin Wall and cold war 1353UT, English lessons
972 HLCA man and woman inKorean 1248UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

603 HLSA soft vocal music 1316UT presumed, as no 558 at this time, but had been // a few minutes earlier
612 4QR assumed with men in DU English 1349UT, only Aussie noted.
693 JOAB cold war lessons 1352UT, really getting even with the CBU splash
702 NHK2 English lessons re cold war 1335 and 1352UT
1287 JOHR man in Japanese 1345UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

738 woman in Chinese, assumed Taiwan Fisheries, though no 1143 // just then 1328UT, into pop ballad.

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH soft vocal 1253UT //603 which was stronger, for a change
612 JOLK NHK1 hilarity //594 1348UT, mixing with what turned out to be 4QR fading up and over
855 operatic female vocal 1259UT
873 JOGB ,am ta;lomg 884 1335IT
891 JOHK NHK pips 1400UT, Japanese talk //594
909 NHK2 mumbling about iron curtain 1358UT //774
954 man and woman talking, Japanese inflection in 950 splash 1350UT
1008 woman talking, Japanese inflection 1336UT
1017 woman mumbling 1349UT, then man, repeating a word; sounded like language lessons, but not NHK2; 5965 not available as a CRI parallel until after 1400UT now

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

 666 864 936 1098 1107 1242 1296 1314 1386 1422

best wishes,

Nick
